Solutions to prevent oil contamination during the processing and production of injection molded products
February 06, 2023
After the injection molded parts are ejected, they are often contaminated by oil (the grease is usually dripped from the brackets, formwork bushings and hydraulic cylinder seals). In this case, repairs should be made immediately, and preventive and maintenance measures should be taken to control the leakage of grease. (At present, all-electric injection molding machines can also produce plastic parts in a clean room environment.) One of the main causes of grease contamination is the leakage of grease around the ejector, especially in the aBS injection molding process.
The mold is maintained by first removing the plastic from the mold, then thoroughly cleaning it, and reassembling the mold with a white PTEE lubricant. Many plastics are easy to accumulate dust, which is difficult to clean and costly. Therefore, the best prevention method is to cover the injection parts frequently and try to avoid moving the parts because the injection parts are easy to wear (in fact, the injection parts are lightly touched each other). Will wear out).
In addition, many injection molded parts are damaged due to poor packaging, and it is easy to leave grease when touching the plastic parts by hand, causing problems. For example, it is difficult to make the plating process. Therefore, unless the measures for preventing grease are carried out in advance, clean gloves are worn when moving the injection molded parts.
